No response, intermittent charging, unexpected shutdowns or a computer that cannot reach its normal desktop.
Slow operation, everyday software problems, device setup and compatible hardware upgrades.
Screen issues and suspected hardware faults. Describe symptoms before assuming a particular part needs replacing.
Useful observations can narrow the next step. Model-specific instructions and an inspection may still be needed.
Tell us whether any charging light, fan, sound or keyboard light appears. On a dry, undamaged device, check the correct compatible charger and working socket, and disconnect non-essential accessories. Read the startup guide.
Not necessarily. A blank display and no power are different symptoms. Record any lights, sounds or external-display behaviour you have already observed, and avoid buying parts before assessment.
Yes, ask about assessment and include the make, model, charging behaviour and any battery warning. Battery, charging and power-management checks may be needed. Do not keep using a swollen or damaged battery.
Slow performance alone does not establish a board fault. Storage space, startup apps, software and hardware limits can matter. Explain which tasks are slow and whether the change was sudden. Back up your files before changes or upgrades.
Ask about the exact computer model, current setup and what you want to improve. Upgrade options depend on compatibility and whether components can be replaced. We discuss suitable options and cost before agreeing the work.
Send the exact wording or a clear photo without private information. Note when it first appeared and whether an update, impact or spill came before it. Avoid resetting or reinstalling the system if unbacked-up files are the priority.
Disconnect power if safe, switch off if possible and stop testing it. Do not apply heat or dismantle it. Tell us the liquid, time of exposure and whether it has been charged or used since. See liquid-damage assessment.
Back up important files if it works safely. List the faults and essential software, and tell us if the device is managed by a business or school. Do not send account passwords or recovery keys in an enquiry; access arrangements are discussed separately.

Assessment & pricing
No fix, no fee on repairs. Water-damage and complex motherboard diagnostics cost £40 for the first hour, agreed before work begins. If more diagnostic time is needed, any additional charge depends on the issue and will be quoted and agreed before proceeding. Diagnostic fees apply even if the device cannot be repaired.
Parts, repair options and availability depend on the model and inspection. We discuss the proposed work before you decide.
Service terms & warranty →Send the make and model, symptoms, when the problem started, any impact or liquid exposure, what you have already tried and your area. Mention whether important files are backed up. Do not send passwords, unlock codes or private documents.
